VULCAN WAX SYSTEM

"Safety and quality around wax investment processes"

Combine with our Atlas Hand systems and Apollo Tables for a clean workflow

Why VULCAN WAX SYSTEM?

The wax investment casting process involves joining, manipulating, and cleaning up wax patterns using torches, soldering irons, hot knifes, wax dispensing pens, and pots and plates. Working with high heat, often hot enough to cause 3rd degree burns, and flames from torches leads to many safety hazards. The Vulcan Wax System was developed with safety and consistency in mind, leading to a system that substantially reduces burn and fire incidences as well as increases the consistency of work through consistent heating and flame control.

01 / SAFE

Our hand tools (the torch, knife, and pen) all include safety features to detect when a device has been dropped, set down, not in use, or if one of the lines has been cut or leaking and shuts off quickly, minimizing fire and burn risks. Our pot and plate include detection of overheating and precise temperature control increasing the consistency of work.

03 / CONSISTENT

To create consistent wax patterns, working with tools that maintain their temperature and molten waxes that stay at a consistent temperature are key. Our tools are designed to keep a consistent temperature throughout the workflow.

02 / RELIABLE

The Vulcan Wax System has been developed and tested to its extremes to increase reliability and designed with high strength materials for longevity and durability.

05 / Leak Detection

This system has internal controls and flow sensors to know when and how much flow should be detected at either sensor. When the system detects an under flow or no flow, it shuts off the Vulcan Torch and alerts the operator that a leak has been detected.

Atlas Hand Icons-34.png
06 / Fall Detection

Immediately after detecting a fall, the Vulcan Torch shuts itself off and alerts the operator. The system is able to shut off the torch before it hits the ground from sitting height. Additionally, if the Vulcan Torch is not moving for a short period of time, the system shuts it off and alerts the operator.

07 / Contact Detection

The Vulcan Torch has built in capacitive touch which gives the controls the ability to see when a hand is present. This contact detection helps the system detect when an operator is not present and shuts the torch off.
