Why does a urinal need to collapse?
Many professional sports players are unable to leave the field during a game, and with games lasting for hours, being unable to use the restroom can lead to poor performance on the field. A standard rigid standup portable bathroom on the sidelines is a possibility, however many professional sports require that the sidelines stay clear for spectator visibility. This collapsible urinal provides a solution for the players to use as needed without creating obstructions to visibility.
01 / PARTNERSHIP
In partnership with Nike and Terrazign, Unger Designs assisted in taking an existing concept from ideation/early prototype to fully functional and ready for production, creating a solution that runs off a simple Milwaukee M18 battery. With an engineered aluminum frame, custom linkage and gearing to reduce complexity, and specialized light weight fabric, this collapsible urinal is now a leading solution to assist players in many sports on the field.
01 / LIGHT WEIGHT
This frame is made out of light weight, strong aluminum with plastic lining and a light weight fabric canopy.
02 / EASY TO USE
The operation of this urinal is straight forward, press the power button on the battery module, step on the mat below the door, wait for the hoops to lift, walk in and use. The hops automatically collapse a few seconds after the player leaves the mat.
OPERATION
03 / MOVE TO LOCATION
Simply lift the door end of the urinal and the frame lifts off the ground onto the wheels. With the door end of the urinal only weighing about 40 lbs, it is relatively easy to maneuver into location.
04 / STEP ON MAT
This system is operated on a Milwaukee M18 battery. Once in place, press the power button on the battery module and step on the mat just under the door and the system will activate and lift the hoops.
05 / WALK IN AND USE
Open the door and use as needed. The mat will continue to detect a person and will hold the hoops up.
06 / WALK AWAY
To collapse the urinal back down, simply walk away. The system will see that the urinal is empty and wait a 10 seconds before collapsing back down.
07 / FEATURES
The urinal within the system is connected to a wheeled tank making it easy to remove and empty out. When collapsed, the urinal folds down with the hoops to tuck away.
