FEATURES

The Atlas hand is a tool delivery system designed to remove the hassle of dealing with multiple tools and their hoses or cables. The Atlas Hand contains our patent pending balancing mechanism that is capable of holding heavy tool loads while maintaining effortless balance throughout its range of motion.

01 / BED SHAPING

Hoses and cables can be a serious trip hazard in many work environments. Accidental puncturing and cutting of lines does not bode well for the user either. The Atlas Hand effortlessly

mitigates both hazards.

02 / DRIP IRRIGATION

Putting away tools at the end of the day keeps the work environment clean, work flow streamlined, and personnel engaged in their job. The Atlas Hand makes it easy and effortless to maintain a well organized 5S system in your manufacturing environment.

Constantly fighting with tangled hoses and stuck lines only hinders the ability to do value added work. The Atlas Hand removes the need to unwrap lines at the beginning of the day, fight with them throughout the day, and rewrap at the end of the day.

04 / PLANT MARKING

Constantly fighting with tangled hoses and stuck lines only hinders the ability to do value added work. The Atlas Hand removes the need to unwrap lines at the beginning of the day, fight with them throughout the day, and rewrap at the end of the day.

DESIGN RESOURCES
"We are here to help"

01 / SIZING THE PLASTIC MULCH

Begin by identifying the specific side bed dimensions you intend to create. Alongside the bed size, it is advisable to allocate a minimum of 6 inches of plastic on each side for burial, ensuring secure anchoring.

To calculate the required plastic size, utilize the following formula:

Width Needed = Bed Width + ( 2 x Bed Height ) + 12

02 / SIZING THE PRESS PAN

We tailor each press pan to meet the customer's specifications regarding bed width, bed height, and row spacing. To minimize the risk of disease and rot on produce, we designed in a typical crown of about 1 inch at the center of the bed.

To ensure stability during plastic laying and plant setting, planting beds have a wider base. Our standard pans increase the bed width at the base by 1 inch for every 3 inches of bed height.

Row center spacing is a critical consideration. If the bed exceeds the row center width, your hillers may struggle to gather sufficient soil from the sides to fill the bed's center. For optimal results, aim for a bed width approximately 50% to 75% of the row center spacing. Factors such as soil preparation, soil type, and the use of various bedding attachments can impact bed dimensions and the ability to shape a high-quality bed.

03 / DRIP LINES

When designing your drip irrigation system, ensure precise planning for the number of lines allocated to each bed. Insufficient lines may result in undesirable gaps in water coverage, while an excess can lead to water wastage. Typically, for 4-feet wide beds, three lines per bed are often adequate, distributed with one along the middle and one on each side. In the case of 3-feet wide beds, two lines spaced 18 inches apart are generally sufficient.
